I am pleased to be able to write a bio. Why? Because I have discovered how precious life really is. I suffered an aneurysm several years ago. A vessel in my brain burst, and I bled into my brain. That happened late in September. I woke up days before Thanksgiving. It was a terrible time for my family...and I have more holes in my head where they put vents to relief pressure. My family was told I wouldn't live. One particularly dark night, the doctor called my parents, children, and husband together and told them he didn't expect for me to live through the night. The words crushed everyone but my daughter. She was a freshman in college at the time. She had faith that God wouldn't take her mother away from her. She needed me. It was her faith I think God honored.
I recovered and amazingly enough, I had no detrimental side effects. All the plots I had in my head before the aneurysm, where there. I had a few short-term memory problems, but when that past, I was fine. There are a few things of my kids' childhoods I don't remember, but I bet most parents can't remember everything about their kiddo's growing up years. Most of us are lucky to get our kids grown. But I will say, the Lord blessed me with two wonderful children of whom I am very proud.
That time was a testing for my family. Apparently, I was in pain a lot of the time and lost a lot of blood. My family had to deal with the fallout, but when they talk about that time, it is as if it happened to someone else. When I was praying one day, asking God about that, He brought to mind the time in Exodus when Moses wanted to see God's glory. God didn't allow that, but put Moses in the cleft of the rock and covered him with His hand as He passed by. I knew then that's where my consciousness had been. It was in the cleft of the rock with His hand covering me. I was spared all the pain and trauma.
I've written 10 published books-all mysteries with the exception of one futuristic.
I'm also a teacher. I teach deaf high school students math and science. I am also an avid gardener. Please take a tour of my garden.
